Our mission focus has created grass-root campaigns at the community, national and global level. Here is what we are currently involved with. Join us and help make it happen.
THE FIGHT FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL FUNDING - STOP HB610
The Trump Administration under the hand of Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has ventured a bill that would defund important programs from inner city schools that do not meet a certain benchmark. We oppose this, and have focused in on the relationship that inner city children make with Holocaust survivors when they tour Holocaust museums and memorials. The fight against anti-Semitism counts on the relationships that are developed at a young age that foster tolerance and understanding for all oppressed cultures. Sign our petition please. We will take your signatures to Congress and work to make sure that funding remains for these valuable field trips for all children, regardless of where they go to school.
RECOGNIZE CHIUNE SHUGIHARA FOR SAVING COUNTLESS JEWS
Join Japanese-American Actor and Activist George Takei as we recognize Chiune "Sempo" Sugihara, a Japanese diplomat who served as Vice-Consul for the Empire of Japan in Lithuania. During the events preceding World War II, Sempo went against his government and started handing out visas for endangered Jewish people. This amazing Japanese man is responsible for the lives of literally thousands. Legend has it that when he was arrested, he threw out visas to the Jewish children that ran along his train. On August 23, 2019 we will be building bridges of tolerance and understanding between cultures with a star-studded event at the iconic Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, California. We need your help and we want you to join us!
SEND AID TO IMPOVERISHED HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS
Did you know that almost 45,000 Holocaust survivors in Israel live in abject poverty? These heroes who have sacrificed so much for us can hardly make ends meet. They live in filth, they live in poverty. They cannot afford medicine, food, clothing. They bake in the Israeli heat and the huddle under blankets in the cold - alone and seemingly forgotten. We have partnered with Aviv for Holocaust Survivors and Later to bring aid in the form of MitzvahMail care packages and legal advocacy work to connect survivors with reparations and other funding. We need your help, to help them.
